The classification is based on information provided by the ECHA. There, the substance is classified as "Skin Corr. 1A" (corresponds to Class 8, packing group I) and environmentally hazardous (H411). The BfR also recommends an assignment to packing group I. If other data are available to the user, the substance can also be assigned to packing group II. With regard to the environmental hazard, the classification was based on the data in the (Q)SAR database, among other things. Because BAM has no data on degradability, the substance has been classified as not rapidly degradable in accordance with note 4 in 2.9.3.3.1 of the UN Model Regulations.
